Jamie Sporne is a Black Belt under Professor Roberto Dib Frias. He has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for 7 years and he says he instantly found an intense passion for it when he started.
He has been teaching both kids and adults since he received his Blue Belt (after 1 year of training) and has always had a love for teaching BJJ. Jamie believes teaching is an incredibly rewarding career and helps him to develop his own confidence, character and technical skill. It is these attributes that he aims to instill in students when he is teaching them.
"I have seen BJJ help a lot of people by developing their overall fitness and helping them achieve their own personal goals both on and off the mats. Whether it be competition or just learning BJJ for confidence or self-defence. I have been an active competitor from my White Belt to my current rank at Brown Belt in both local and Interstate/National BJJ competitions in Australia. As well as being active in the Local amateur MMA scene for the last 2 years. Jiu-Jitsu has been a great tool for me in life as the lessons you learn on the mat develop character and a resilience that is needed to have a happy and healthy life. I have been very lucky to be surrounded by a lot of knowledgeable and very talented coaches and mentors in my Jiu-Jitsu journey. They have taught me an amazing understanding of BJJ as well as how to pass that on to others."
